Exploreum Science Center & PCI Digital Dome Theater
The Exploreum Science Center features interactive exhibits, giant screen films, and hands-on programming designed to spark curiosity and inspire a love of science. It serves as a hub of science literacy for Mobile and the greater Gulf Coast region.
Mobile Museum of Art

Special exhibits to check out for Cultural Connections: Vulumazulu: The Black Solarium and Juan Logan: Without Stopping

Mobile Museum of Art has evolved into the only accredited art museum in South Alabama, with a collection of over 6,400 artworks comprised of paintings, sculpture, decorative arts, works on paper, and crafts. Its original facility of 14,000 sq. feet, located in the city’s largest green space of Langan Park, was expanded with two major capital campaigns. The last expansion of the Museum brought the space to its current size of 95,000 sq. feet. Today, the art museum continues to evolve in its service to the community, achieved through its programs, education, exhibitions, and outreach. The museum’s outreach activities include on-site classes, a partnership with the Salvation Army’s Family Haven, as well as a “Pop-Up Museum” installation in downtown Mobile. The Art Museum maintains a schedule of rotating, special exhibitions as well as collection exhibitions, including work by regional artists, as well as exhibitions featuring work by nationally and internationally recognized artists.

Richards-DAR House Museum
The Richards-DAR House Museum is a beautifully restored historic home located in the heart of downtown Mobile. Built in 1860 by Charles G. Richards, a prominent local businessman, the house is a stunning example of Italianate architecture. In 1973, the house was generously donated to the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and has since been meticulously preserved and maintained as a museum open to the public. Visitors to the Richards-DAR House Museum are transported back in time as they explore the elegant rooms filled with period furnishings, artwork, and decorative items. The museum offers guided tours led by knowledgeable docents who share the fascinating history of the house and its former residents.

Oakleigh Garden Historic District (OGD)
Known for its rich history and well-preserved architecture, the Oakleigh Garden Historic District (known locally as OGD) is a picturesque neighborhood near downtown. Established in the early 19th century, one of the notable features of OGD is its collection of historic homes. These homes showcase various architectural styles and influences on Mobile’s culture, including Greek Revival, Italianate and Victorian. History Museum of Mobile & Colonial Fort Conde
The History Museum of Mobile is where Mobile’s story begins. Two floors of permanent exhibits explore Mobile’s history from the pre-colonial past to the present, with special highlights of Mardi Gras, shipbuilding, and daily life along the Mobile Bay. A children’s Discovery Room brings French Colonial Mobile to life for our youngest visitors, and special, traveling exhibitions are often on view, as well. Admission to Colonial Fort Conde is included. Built on the same site of its 1723 predecessor, this partial reconstruction of Fort Condé offers visitors the chance to learn about Mobile’s journey from its beginnings as a French colonial settlement to its early years as an American territory. Walk through the exhibits to see artifacts and recovered archaeological pieces of Mobile’s colonial past. Or, tread atop the fort walls to see unmatched views of Mobile’s skyline. Visitors can also enjoy a number of living history events held throughout the year.

National Maritime Museum of the Gulf
The National Maritime Museum of the Gulf is the only museum in the world dedicated to the rich history and traditions of the Gulf of America. With more than 80 immersive exhibits and interactives, the Museum has something for maritime lovers of every age. During your visit you can pilot a cargo ship up the Mobile River; dive beneath the surface to explore historic shipwrecks; and step inside a ship’s cargo container. And while you’re here, don’t forget to step out onto one of our balconies to see the Port of Mobile in action!

Conde-Charlotte Museum
The Condé-Charlotte Museum is Mobile's oldest historic home museum, where visitors can explore how citizens lived throughout the last 300 years during each country’s reign over the area. The variety and authenticity of the antique furnishings in the museum house reflect Mobile’s history under six flags: French, British, Spanish, American, Republic of Alabama and Confederate. In 1850 Jonathan Kirkbride and his wife, Elizabeth, renovated what is now known as the Condé-Charlotte Museum, the site of Mobile’s first courthouse and jail built 30 years earlier.

USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park
USS Alabama Battleship Memorial Park is a national historic landmark situated on the western shore of Mobile Bay in Mobile, Alabama. The park is home to the USS ALABAMA battleship, as well as the USS DRUM submarine, numerous military aircraft, tanks, artillery pieces and other exhibits that pay tribute to American veterans and their sacrifices. Visitors can explore the massive battleship, climb aboard the submarine, and get an up-close look at the various military artifacts displayed throughout the park.
